Welcome to Lake Oconee. We are located in Greene County, Georgia. Halfway between Atlanta and Augusta, Lake Oconee is an oasis of relaxation, recreation and rejuvenation. Come here and experience some of the state's best fishing, swimming, water sports, boating, camping, picnicking, water-skiing, wakeboarding and golfing. The surrounding communities are steeped in history.

Lying 75 miles east of Atlanta, Lake Oconee has 19,000 pristine acres and 375 miles of shoreline, offering widespread opportunities for the boating and water sport enthusiast, as well as paradise for the sportsman.  The area features over 1,500 acres of recreational areas and wildlife preserves and the best fishing in the Southeast with 350 pounds of fish per acre.  Three counties in Northeast Georgia were directly affected by the construction of the lake, and the impact on the area has been dramatic. Greene, Putnam, and Morgan Counties serve as boundaries of Lake Oconee.
